About me

This blog is all about helping people make informed decisions about education and career choices that will lead to fulfilling and happy lives.

What are my qualifications to do so? ….You probably ask yourselves.

I am somebody who has:

  • studied a lot – I have 2 master degrees and 1 MBA,
  • worked in senior positions in three multinational companies for 12 years and,
  • hired & developed many people while moving up the corporate ladder.

So, I can understand the thirst for education but I also have a deep knowledge of what employers are looking for. In addition, I know first hand how difficult is for some people to find out what they really want to do in life.

My degree Odyssey was the following:

I studied Agricultural Engineering in Greece with the objective to follow the family business.

Then, I did two master degrees in the UK (one in Int. Management and one in Health Economics).  After having worked as a health economist at GlaxoSmithKline for 3 years in London, I did an MBA at MIT Sloan in the US.

Following my MBA, I joined Eli Lilly and Allergan for 4 years in each and held various senior positions at local, regional and international level.

I now focus on sharing my learnings with people who have important decisions to make.

I run almost every day (which is a big achievement for me and a huge surprise for all my friends) and I write poetry (when the inspiration comes).

I am also very passionate in helping teenagers study subjects that fit their interests, strengths and long-term career plans. I believe in education. Unfortunately, the high tuition fees force us to put financing in the criteria mix. For some, other options might be more beneficial in the long-term.

To put it simply, I want to encourage people to make informed decisions.

Do I have all the answers? Definitely no!

It’s a journey for me and for you. And your contribution and feedback will be needed and greatly appreciated.

Great site – even though specific to the UK, I am recommending to US people including my own kids!
